Our History
“Imanta” – Means magnetic attraction manifesting the energy of nature to our guests and visitors to reconnect with themselves. The Mexican owner of Imanta on a trip to Thailand was inspired by one of the luxury boutique establishments. Upon his return to Mexico, he envisioned having the best luxury boutique hotel while integrating typical Mexican architectural elements. In 1991, seeking to establish his dream, he explored the coasts of Nayarit in a panga, contemplating the beauty of this unique space, he decided to jump into the sea and swim to the coast discovering this virgin paradise in the tropical jungle on the slopes of the Sierra de Vallejo. Finally, in 2010 it is when he decides to open its doors to the public and in 2013 we became members of the Relais & Châteaux association, its main mission acquires the commitment to protect, make known, and enhance the value of wealth and diversity. gastronomy, as well as the different cultures of hospitality on the planet.

Tukipa
Tukipa our haute cuisine restaurant, is located in the heart of Imanta. It complements its sweeping views across the nature reserve and the Pacific Ocean with a seasonal menu that is reflected in the freshest ingredients we offer and that our produced in the region. Tukipa welcomes guests and visitors daily to enjoy an elegant and exclusive atmosphere.
Tzamaika
The Tzamaika Restaurant reflects a representative experience of the region. Located under a traditional palapa on the exclusive beach of Imanta Resorts. It is the perfect place to enjoy the seasonal organic menu and typical dishes such as zarandeado fish or shrimp ceviche that are accompanied by handmade tortillas from corn that is cultivated and prepared by Imanta. Guests, as well as visitors, will be able to enjoy a memorable experience with their companions while enjoying the closeness of the sea breeze.
Observatory Bar
Observatory Bar has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere located in the eye of Imanta with panoramic views of the jungle and the Mexican Pacific. It is the perfect location for regular winter season humpback whale watching season, as well as the culmination of a perfect day at sunset. Our mixologists prepare a wide selection of organic cocktails such as our signature cocktail “Sangre Cora”/Cora Blood with representative ingredients based on homemade chili syrup, mezcal and Jamaica, giving the drink a smoky and refreshing touch. We also offer our house tequila “Casa Dragones” for connoisseurs of high-end distillates or enjoy the Rivero Gonzalez Vineyard with the “Tzamaika and Tukipa” wines made exclusively by Imanta.

Immersive Culinary Cliff Experience
Upon your arrival you will be greeted by a Chaman from the indigenous regional culture wixárikas with a copal cleanse to welcome you to this sacred space. The Chaman will then guide you to different secret locations on The Cliff, all with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra de Vallejo’s lush jungle. After the sunset has set the culinary experience begins with a Relais & Chateaux special menu with wine pairings while admiring the starry sky.
Temazcal Wixarika
The Temazcal is an ancient and very powerful spiritual healing that is unlike any other. The "Chaman" will welcome you and perform a ritual of the Four Door Ceremony that will detoxify and rejuvenate your body and soul.
The Gods Eye Hike
The journey starts from Imanta’s main beach area that connects to a hidden trail with panoramic views of the ocean, lushness, and caves where Wixarika culture used to live during prehispanic times. This 35-minute hike will guide you to secret corners mother nature has to offer. At the end of the hike, you will be greeted at the Tree House pool area where you will enjoy a private Mexican lunch and have the opportunity to enjoy the day swimming in the natural waterfall that turns into a three-level swimming pool!
